global warming

Global warming is the rise in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans since the late 19th century and its projected continuation. Since the early 20th century, Earth's mean surface temperature has increased by about 0.8 °C (1.4 °F), with about two-thirds of the increase occurring since 1980

cause of global warming
1. Carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel combustion power plants.
Increasing the use of electricity to be supplied from coal-fired power plants that release large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In the United States, approximately 40% of CO2 emissions caused by electricity production and 93 percent of which comes from coal combustion emissions in the industry.
2. Sea level rise around the world.
Scientists predict sea level rise across the globe due to the melting of two massive ice sheets in Antarctica and Greenland, especially on the east coast of the U.S.. Estimated that many countries around the world will feel the effects of rising sea levels, which could force millions of people to search for a new settlement. Maldives is one of the countries that need to find a new home due to rising sea levels.
3. The loss of coral reefs.
A report on coral reefs from WWF says that in the worst case scenario, coral populations will collapse by 2100 because of rising sea temperatures and acidity. 'Bleaching' of coral due to rising sea temperatures that incessant very harmful to marine ecosystems, and many other species in the oceans rely on coral reefs for their survival.
